Google announced on 30 October that Gemini in Slides can revise multiple slides or a whole presentation from a prompt. Changes remain in native editable slides, with a summary in the side panel and access to undo or version history.
The rollout began on 29 October and can take longer than 15 days. Eligible business editions include Workspace Business Standard and Plus and Enterprise Standard and Plus. Check access in your own account.
Where it could help
For an Australian team preparing a recurring client update, consistent formatting is a sensible first experiment. Start with an approved copy and ask for a narrow visual change.
Content changes deserve a separate review. A shorter sentence can lose a qualification; a more confident summary can accidentally imply a promise.
A review routine for client presentations
- Keep the approved original.
- Make one kind of change at a time: formatting first, content separately.
- Check amounts, dates, currencies and chart labels against the underlying report.
- Compare commitments, exclusions and recommendations with the original wording.
- Assign one person to approve the final deck before it is sent.
For example, an Australian-dollar estimate and a US-dollar software price should stay clearly distinguished even if the deck is restyled. That is a review consideration, not a reported defect in Gemini.
Is it worth adopting?
Trial it on an internal presentation and measure total editing and checking time. Do not infer dependable productivity gains from a smoother demonstration. ThinkAI has not independently tested this feature.
